It's written in a way that makes it feel like a conversation with a friend over a drink. Warm, friendly, down to earth with memories sprinkled in for added colour. I wanted to explore everything, and found certain memories shared made me want to try the recipe even more! (The Cod in Mustard sauce on pg 47 was INHALED rather than eaten by my hubby) To top it off, it brought backsome wonderful memories of my years in Germany where some of these delicious dishes had been made for me, I now I finally have a way of making them myself!
I highly recommend this book, and it has a firm Front-of-the-queue place in my kitchen. Enjoy!
